The Parks Alliance is pleased to announce that we are partnering the Horticulture Week Custodian Awards.
The time has come for the custodians of the UK’s parks, gardens, green spaces and urban woodlands to receive the recognition they deserve for the extraordinary job they do.
Across the UK, countless managers in the parks, gardens and tree sectors have battled against the odds – whether from challenging budgets, changing climatic conditions or the growing skills shortage – to ensure that the communities they serve and future generations can continue to enjoy access to quality, life-enhancing green space.
Have you and your in-house parks, gardens or tree management team achieved the seemingly impossible this year? Are you winning plaudits from your visitors or community for the quality of what you do? Have you made a significant contribution to the success of a project? Have you found new ways to work with private and third-sector partners? If so, you should be entering the Horticulture Week Custodian Awards, which is inviting entries from in–house parks, gardens and tree-management teams today.
The awards will celebrate the very best in the parks, gardens and tree-management sectors. So whether it is an exemplary project, a brilliant piece of team work, or a great idea that has made a real and lasting impact on your service or site this year, make sure that you and your team get the recognition you deserve by entering the Horticulture Week Custodian Awards.
Winners of the Horticulture Week Custodian Awards will be announced in June at a special reception hosted by Horticulture Week. All winning and highly commended entrants will receive a complementary ticket to attend the reception as VIP guests of Horticulture Week.
All winning entries will be written up in full in a special report on the awards to be published in HW magazine and online at www.HorticultureWeek.co.uk helping you to show-case your achievements, reward team effort and highlight to stakeholders the vital role you and your team play in protecting the future of our vital green spaces and facilities.
The deadline for entries to the Horticulture Week Custodian Awards is Thursday 21 April. For detail of categories and how to enter, visit www.HorticultureWeek.co.uk/custodian-awards. Should you have any questions about the awards, please contact Sarah Fournier at sarah.fournier@haymarket.com.
From the team at Horticulture Week and the Parks Alliance good luck!
