Paul Hamblin
Director of National Parks England

Paul loves the natural environment and what it does for our mind, body and soul.  So joining National Parks England as its Director for its birth in April 2006 was an obvious choice.  The organisation helps co-ordinate activity and provides a collective voice for the ten National Park Authorities within England.  Paul is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the Association and facilitating contact with a range of Government departments.  Prior to joining NPE, Paul was with the Campaign to Protect Rural England for 11 years, including as their Head of Transport and Natural Resources team.  When younger and fitter, Paul also enjoyed a short spell as a Wilderness Ranger for the US Forest Service in the Pacific North West.
